December 9th at Utah Jazz:

Chris Paul was at his acrobatic best in this match. In one play he made Joe Ingles and Ed Davis look like they couldn’t find the guard as he delivered a crazy scoop shot (3:31 of the video below).

But it was Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert who got burnt repeatedly by Paul. In one play CP3 gets Gobert to bite on the pump fake but then touches him with the ball and Rudy turns around thinking Paul passed the ball and as Gobert heads towards his net the guard pulls up for the easy jump shot.

On the night he scored 16 points, grabbed four boards, dished seven dimes, and also added three steals (7:05 of video).

In an ironic twist of timing, the OKC Thunder were set to play the Jazz on March 11th and a victory would’ve pushed them ahead of the fourth-seeded Utah club.

But the game was postponed when Gobert’s COVID-19 results came back positive. By night’s end, the season was put on indefinite suspension.
