Get his shooting back.

When the Dallas Mavericks acquired Jackson back in the 2018-19 season, they had traded Harrison Barnes away, who was a solid combination forward. As a result, Jackosn was able to receive some of these minutes.

He received 11 starts in his 29 games and shot the ball at 48.4 percent from the floor and 37.2 percent from deep. These are solid numbers for a second-year player coming onto a new team in the middle of a season.

However, last year Kristaps Porzingis made it onto the court for the first time for the Mavericks since being traded from the New York Knicks. As a result, Jackson received less regular court time which obviously had an impact on his shooting.

What he can hope for with the OKC Thunder is that he is able to get regular minutes. If he can do this then he will be able to regain his confidence and therefore his shooting touch. There is no playoff pressure on the squad for next season so players should be able to get a rhythm going.

Given that Jackson can play both forward positions he will give the Thunder really good roster flexibility. If he can get his shooting stroke back then he will be able to secure some more playing time.
