OKC Thunder: 3 team needs that still must be addressed

Area in need of addressing No. 2) Secondary ball handlers
Heading into this year’s campaign, it is widely accepted that the OKC Thunder plan on utilizing Shai Gilgeous-Alexander as the team’s primary ball-handler.
This, of course, is a bit different in comparison to the approach to the scheme they implemented last season where Chris Paul served in this role, while SGA filled in as the team’s number two ball handler.
With CP3 now in Phoenix, this likely slides the team’s 22-year-old stud into the primary slot, leaving the secondary position vacant.
At the moment, veteran floor general George Hill finds himself listed on Oklahoma City’s roster and, should he remain in tow, he would almost certainly serve in such a role alongside Gilgeous-Alexander.
That said, there are many who believe the 34-year-old could be flipped by the franchise in an effort for them to acquire either another player who perhaps better serves the current state of the team or additional future draft capital.
Whatever they choose to do, OKC must establish who will serve as a go-to ball-handler when teams zero in on Shai and he has to get the ball out of his hands — similar to how Houston handled things defensively during last year’s postseason.
