What OKC Thunder fans should watch out for No. 2) Theo Maledon at the one

To the delight of OKC Thunder fans, the team’s 34th overall pick from this past draft, Theo Maledon, has looked like an absolute steal through the first two games of his NBA career.

While we are aware that it is only preseason, the French-born baller has been one of the franchise’s stars thus far into 2020-21.

Averaging 15.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, two assists, and a steal per game on 43 percent shooting from the floor and 44 percent shooting from deep, Maledon is seemingly playing himself right into the team’s regular-season rotation, which is a fantastic sight to see for OKC fans considering the team could certainly use for another ball-handler in the backcourt to share the load with both SGA and George Hill.

What we here at TI wish to see tonight from the 19-year-old, however, is more of an emphasis on running the floor and getting his teammates involved.

Though he’s only averaging two assists per game throughout the preseason, some of these dishes have been absolute dimes and we would love to see a larger sample size from him.

Already proving to flourish whilst off-ball in Mark Daigneault’s system, perhaps tonight we’ll see a heavier dose of him running the floor.
