Season goal for Frank Jackson No. 1) Work on his passing game.

While Jackson has shown that he is quite a capable and efficient scorer. In order to develop into a better point guard and a better player, he needs to work on his passing game. For his career, Jackson is averaging just 1.1 assists per game.

As the rebuilding Thunder develops their younger players and therefore their team’s identity on the court, ball movement is going to be critical. They have no superstar who is going to carry you on their back to a victory as yet, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is developing into something like that but is not there.

As such, it is going to be imperative that the team looks for open shots above all else. The best way of creating those shots is by good ball movement. This can be created in a number of ways. In Jackson’s case, he needs to generate this off penetration and dishing the ball to an open shooter.

Jackson does not need to lead the team in assists. He has a tremendous pass-first point guard in Maledon to do that this season. It is about breaking down the defense and getting the ball to the best available shooter on the court.
