This team has plenty of room to grow.

While the starting unit performed well, Bazley and Dort are not even close to their potential as yet. On top of that, Horford had a quiet game where he only scored three points, so offensively he has plenty more to give the Thunder.

Of the rookies, Aleksej Pokusevski did not have a great shooting night. He took six shots from beyond the arc, missing them all. While he only played just under 11 minutes, he was still able to contribute with four rebounds, a steal, and a block. When he gets his range, Poku will give the Thunder so much more.

Theo Maledon played just over 20 minutes and was solid with four points, two assists, and two steals. He was not able to display his full potential as he was still getting used to the pace of the NBA. However, some of the passes that he made showed his true potential with this team.

None of the younger players got to spend much time playing together thanks to COVID-19 so they missed out on Summer League, the extended training camp, and also the regular time in the preseason. When they build chemistry, this team is going to be surprisingly good.
