Now that we’re within the month of March, there are now only 24 more days until the NBA Trade Deadline, which means Sam Presti and the OKC Thunder will likely be busy bees from here on out.

Coming into the season, many anticipated Oklahoma City would be vying to the title of worst team in the association, what with shipping off the majority of players that helped aid in their impressive Cinderella story postseason run in 2019-20.

That said, through the first 34 games of action, the team has found themselves competing till the bitter end of virtually every outing played, are constantly revolving in and out of the playoff/ play-in tournament picture, and have even swayed some fans away from an all-out tankjob of a campaign.

Though some teams would typically look to the buyout/ free agency market to replace outgoing players, a team like the OKC Thunder will likely not be buyers on the open market and, thus, could find themselves looking at alternative routes to bring on players.

One intriguing way they can go about this is by looking to their G League affiliate team in the OKC Blue and, in turn, calling up some players they see as having some intriguing potential.

In our humble opinion, there are 2 specific players they should strongly consider giving a shot:
