Player OKC Thunder should consider calling up No. 2) Moses Brown

On a list discussing players the OKC Thunder should consider calling up from the G League to join their active roster, we would be remiss if we didn’t mention current OKC Blue juggernaut, Moses Brown who, just last week, was named the league’s Player of the Week.

Through 11 games played, the center is posting stellar averages of 20.3 points, 13.8 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per game on 58 percent shooting from the field. Most recently, Brown dropped 19 points and 11 boards in a win against the Deleware Blue Coats, making this his ninth double-double of the season.

A raw talent who played just one season at UCLA before making his way to the association as an undrafted free agent two offseasons ago, the 21-year-old is showing off his impressive athleticism and natural abilities as the leader of OKC’s developmental squad, as he finds himself leading the third-place Blue in points, rebounds, blocks, PER, and win shares.

The 7-1 behemoth is lighting it up for the Blue and, with him being on a two-way contract, the Thunder have 50 total days in which they can have the center be called up to their main roster.

Though no one should get ahead of themselves in regard to Brown’s current level of production — after all, he’s still playing in the G League –, at the very least he has played his way into more days on the official NBA roster than many may have expected for him when coming into the season.
