As we now embark on the final 22 games remaining on the schedule, the OKC Thunder are finding themselves leaning more and more into the rebuild.

During the early stages of the season, many fans were taken by surprise by how well the team managed to play.

Despite coming in pegged as being a top threat to snag the No.1 overall pick in this year’s draft, Oklahoma City found themselves hovering right around .500 in the competitive Western Conference while constantly revolving in and out of the playoff/ play-in tournament picture.

However, since the All-Star break, the team has dropped 10 games out of 15, traded away their starting guard (when healthy), George Hill, opted to bench Al Horford for the remainder of the season, and has been without franchise cornerstone, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, for the last nine games and counting due to plantar fasciitis.

Though for a brief time the Thunder’s level of play managed to sway away fan’s desires to see a full-out wash of a campaign in 2020-21, with their recent struggles it appears the franchise is committing to the tank, with Sam Presti and co. officially setting their sights towards the future.

Of course, the first event to transpire this coming offseason will be the NBA Draft, where the Thunder could find themselves on the board on three separate occasions in the first round alone.

Naturally, the majority of attention is being directed towards this illustrious night — and rightly so –, but there’s also another time period marked on the calendar that could prove to provide great value in their rebuilding endeavors.

That period: free agency.

Now, we understand that the OKC Thunder should dedicate the majority of their planning efforts on the draft — afterall, it is an easy way to add on cheap and young talents to a roster.

However, on the open market, we at TI believe there are a few specific players that would be worth it for the front office to pursue, even if it means shelling out a little extra coin.

Today, we present to you 2 specific free agents we believe would be worth throwing major money at:
