OKC Thunder season highlights for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander

Gilgeous-Alexander did not have to wait for very long for his first highlight of the season. In their first game of the season, SGA had a near triple-double with 24 points, nine assists, and seven rebounds.

However, it was not just his production that was important that night.

SGA managed to hit the game-winner with 1.4 seconds left on the clock. While the Thunder season was about getting the best draft pick available, it was also about growing their key players. This was a tremendous growth opportunity for their future superstar.

He also had ten games where he scored 30 points or more on the season. This included the career-high 42 points he scored against the San Antonio Spurs. What was impressive about his performances was that the Thunder went 9-1 in those games.

SGA was also a willing passer. He had 25 games where he had five or more assists. He had two games where he had ten assists. They beat the Chicago Bulls in one game and then they lost the other one against the full-strength Los Angeles Lakers by only seven points.

Defensively, SGA had six games where he had two or more steals. This includes the one-point win against the New Orleans Pelicans where he had five steals. The story appears to have the same plotline, when SGA does something well, the OKC Thunder usually won.
