Former OKC Thunder PG, 2021 playoff performance: No. 6 – Dennis Schroder

Perhaps the biggest surprise on this list in terms of placement belongs to Dennis Schroder who ranks sixth. Prior to the playoffs commencing analysts expected the German guard would play a big factor for the Lakers.

Unfortunately, Schroder struggled versus his former teammate Chris Paul and backcourt partner Devin Booker.

In the six games versus the Suns, he averaged 14.3 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.0 steals in 32.7 minutes. That’s a fairly decent output but the critical regression was his perimeter shooting which fell to 30.8 percent on 4.3 attempts through the series.

With Anthony Davis playing only 19:24 in Game 4, missing Game 5 and again having to exit early in Game 6 (5:25) Schroder was vital to helping LeBron James. Instead, he scored eight points in Game 4, failed to score at all in Game 5, and while he registered 20 points in Game 6 it was far too little too late.
