Pro Comparison:

JT Thor’s pro comparison will not be flashy or eye-popping. While he has some tantalizing skills, the realistic projection for Thor is that he becomes a key bench contributor. Could he play a role similar to the one Jaden McDaniels plays? McDaniels posted 6.8-points per game his rookie year, hitting shots beyond the arc at a 36-percent clip, three rebounds per game, with an assist and block per game.

More from Thunderous Intentions

As mentioned previously, for the Thunder why not take this massive swing? JT Thor could be one of the best pick-and-roll options that Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has had in his tenure with the OKC Thunder so far. Especially if you discredit his time with Steven Adams where SGA played primarily off-ball.

If any NBA coaching staff is going to get the most out of JT Thor, Mark Daigneault and company have the best shot.

With Thor’s defensive prowess coming into the NBA, and coach Daigneault’s proven ability to progress players defensively, could he turn JT Thor into an elite defender that can switch 1-5? The possibilities are endless.
