The Oklahoma City Thunder return to Bricktown tonight to take on the L.A. Lakers as the Thunder are looking to swell their winning streak to three games. The OKC Thunder have fresh legs after a day off Thursday following their thrilling win against Toronto on Wednesday. The Lakers, on the other hand, are on the second leg of a back-to-back after falling to the Memphis Grizzlies who were without Ja Morant.
The Thunder have won the first two meetings with the Purple and Gold, both in come from behind fashion, once in LaLa Land and once in OKC. A win tonight would lock in a season series win for the OKC Thunder over the NBA Finals contenders. The two teams will meet for the final time on April 8th in Los Angeles.
The OKC Thunder are fully healthy entering this contest with the L.A. Lakers, only without their two-way wing Aaron Wiggins who is listed as out on the team’s injury report while he is still with their G-Leauge affiliate the OKC Blue. Vit Krejci has been recalled from the Blue and is active tonight against the Lakers. We will see if Krejci cracks Mark Daigneault’s rotation in this contest.
Despite the massive differences in these two rosters, and the organizations being in totally different spots, the Thunder are only slight underdogs in this game at the Paycom Center. The L.A. Lakers are desperate for a win as every NBA Media outlet is debating their bench boss’s job security after yet another crushing loss yesterday.
LeBron James listed as probable against the OKC Thunder on Friday
The L.A. Lakers released their injury report late Friday afternoon as they recovered from their late-night loss Thursday, and putting a big smile on Thunder fans’ faces who bought their tickets tonight, the team is listing LeBron James as probable.
Winning Streak aside, you only get so many opportunities to watch LeBron James, one of the best to ever play this game, and tonight it is probable he will play in front of the Oklahoma City faithful for the first time since November 11th, 2019.
Anthony Davis is tabbed as questionable by the team, while Kendrick Nunn remains out for the Lake Show.
