The Oklahoma City Thunder are finally set to wrap up their 2022 NBA Summer League schedule. Their slate has been longer than most, given they played in two Summer Leagues and are set to complete their 8th game of the Summer. The OKC Thunder are currently 5-2 on the Summer, and now know their opponent for the final contest on July 17th at 5 p.m. on NBATV.

Despite the strong record over the course of Salt Lake City and Vegas, the tiebreaker went to point differential which set up a New York Knicks versus Portland Trail Blazers NBA Summer League title game (note: Only Vegas stats and records count toward getting to the Summer League title).

The Oklahoma City Thunder will take on the New Orleans Pelicans before leaving Vegas on Sunday. Being in Vegas since July 9th will undoubtedly wear on you, and the team has already shut down a large chunk of their roster. Aleksej Pokusevski has not played since Salt Lake City, Josh Giddey hung it up after a couple of games in Vegas, and Chet Holmgren did not play in the final tilt, Ousmane Dieng and Tre Mann are hurt, so this game will not be star-studded.

However, this game against the New Orleans Pelicans still matters. While we still do not know everyone who will take the court tonight, we should see a few roster bubble candidates. Such as Vit Krejci who has been stellar all summer proving he has developed a lot defensively while flashing his offensive game.

The New Orleans Pelicans roster is led by Dereon Seabron, Naji Marshall, Dyson Daniels, John Butler, E.J Liddell, and Trey Murphy but injuries have sidelined Daniels and Liddell, and it is unclear just how much of the Pels roster will participate in this game.

No matter what happens in this game, this has been about as successful of a trip to Vegas as you can have as an organization. At 5 p.m. Central time it wraps up, the last Thunder basketball we will see until training camp opens up in late September. The game will be televised on NBATV.
