Well, it is finally over. The Oklahoma City Thunder have wrapped up their 2022 NBA Summer League schedule with a blowout loss to the New Orleans Pelicans, 107-71. After a nine-day bender in Vegas, the OKC Thunder are free for the Summer. I’ve always heard two things about Vegas. 1) Whatever happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, and 2) Four nights in Vegas is too long in Vegas. Can you imagine nine? Though, As Elvis would say, Viva Las Vegas. Wait, does that mean I have heard three things about Vegas? I don’t know, I need a break before training camp, folks.

The Oklahoma City Thunder only played two rostered players in this contest. Vit Krejci stayed on the floor as he fights for a roster spot and looks to come off the roster bubble with a strong October training camp, and 34th overall pick Jaylin Williams was able to make an impact on this contest as well. The Arkansas product has struggled a bit in Summer League but is coming into his own throughout these last two games, especially in a specific skill set that the Thunder and head coach Mark Daigneault look for.

Vit Krejci dropped 13 points, eight rebounds, and four assists in the loss on 36 percent shooting from the floor. While Jaylin Williams struggled to score the ball, going 0-for-5 from the floor, the Arkansas Product showed off some fantastic post-playmaking on his way to eight assists as a big man. Williams was also able to grab eight rebounds, block a shot, and earned a steal on defense.

30-year-old guard Abdul Gaddy showed off his passing chops with a nifty crosscourt slingshot pass for one of four assists on the night, he swiped two steals and mustered five points. Gabe Brown was able to steal the hearts of Thunder fans with step-back jaw-dropping buckets as he turned in 23 points, four rebounds, and two assists shooting 53 percent from the floor.

The Oklahoma City Thunder will return to the hardwood for training camp in Late September before their preseason opener against the Dallas Mavericks in Tulsa, on October 5th at 7 p.m.
