Grades for Thunder starters:

A+. . G. Oklahoma City Thunder. SHAI GILGEOUS-ALEXANDER

Gilgeous-Alexander was nothing short of spectacular in this game. He scored 37 points on an efficient 10-for-16 from the field. Early on SGA was getting to his spots and converting and you could tell pretty early this was going to be a great game for him. Shai also set a career-high for free-throw attempts in a game without a miss, going 16-for-16 from the charity stripe. He trickled on eight rebounds and six assists to go along with an amazing performance.

Oklahoma City Thunder. JOSH GIDDEY. A. . G

Josh Giddey helped the OKC Thunder get easy baskets early. In the first quarter alone he recorded six assists. He then tacked on 20 points, his fifth 20-point game in his last eight games. Giddey continues to improve every game and shine next to SGA in the backcourt.

C. . G/F. Oklahoma City Thunder. LUGUENTZ DORT

Lu Dort made a name for himself guarding James Harden in the NBA bubble in 2020 so it’s always fun when these two face off. Dort played solid defense on Harden, forcing him to become a strict facilitator and spot-up shooter. However, this was one of Lu’s rougher offensive performances. Just 1-for-7 shooting from the field is not ideal.

F. Oklahoma City Thunder. JALEN WILLIAMS. A-.

It’s lovely to see Jalen Williams become more and more confident in his offense. He dropped 14 points on a very efficient 6-for-11 from the field. The best part? J-Dub converted on two of his three shot attempts from downtown. He was fantastic off-ball in half-court sets in this game, spotting up and cutting to the basket. A great game for Williams.

Oklahoma City Thunder. JAYLIN WILLIAMS. B+. . C/F

Due to a heavily injured OKC Thunder backcourt, Jaylin Williams got his fourth career start. Tasked with the assignment of guarding one of the best players in the NBA, Jaylin Will held his own in the first half. He scored a career-high 11 points on 5-of-7 shooting, including 1-for-1 from three. Although Williams got in bad foul trouble early on, I’m not sure you could ask for a better game given the situation.
