2023 NBA Draft Lottery Preview: Where to watch, What will we learn tonight?

The Oklahoma City Thunder and the rest of the NBA will see where prized prospect Victor Wembanyama will land tonight, courtesy of the 2023 NBA Draft Lottery. Whoever Mark Tatum pulls out of that top pick envelope will not even consider trading the pick or selecting another prospect. It will be the new home of Wembanyama, who many tabs as the best prospect we have seen this side of LeBron James.

The 2023 NBA Draft Lottery will occur at 7 p.m. on ESPN, where the league will reveal the 2023 NBA Draft Order.

Previewing the 2023 NBA Draft Lottery, what will we learn tonight?

The Oklahoma City Thunder have the 12th-best lottery odds in the 2023 NBA Draft Lottery. The OKC Thunder have an 85.23 percent chance of landing at 12. A 6.6 percent chance of being the 13th pick, a 2.37 percent chance at the fourth pick, a 2.09 percent chance at the 3rd pick, a 1.88 percent chance at the second pick, and a 1.70 percent chance at the first overall pick, landing Victor Wembanyama.


We will learn many things tonight from that 30-minute TV Show on ESPN. First, the landing spot for Victor Wembanyama and the rest of the NBA Draft order. Beyond that, we will also learn the fate of OKC’s second-round pick. If Houston is ahead of San Antonio, the Thunder’s second-round pick will be in the top 40. However, if San Antonio is ahead of Houston, the Thunder’s second-round pick falls to 50, giving OKC the 38th and 50th picks in the second round.

We will also learn if the Orlando Magic gets one or two lottery picks. If the Bulls do not leap into the top four, the Magic get the Bulls’ selection. We will also learn if the Dallas Mavericks retain their pick, there is a 20 percent chance that Dallas falls below ten, and that would grant the New York Knicks the Mavericks Lottery Pick.
