The Oklahoma City Thunder and the rest of the NBA World sit and wait nervously on the ping pong balls to determine the fate of the draft order in the NBA Draft Lottery. Victor Wembanyama is a franchise-changing prospect. Many say Wembanyama is the best prospect we have ever seen this side of LeBron James. Nick Collison will once again represent the Thunder at the NBA Draft Lottery.

Collison, the lone player in Thunder history with a retired jersey handing in the rafters of the Paycom Center, represented Oklahoma City in the Lottery a year ago at this time. In the 2022 Draft Lottery, Mr. Thunder brought OKC luck leaping into the second overall pick. Eventually, that selection was used on Gonzaga big man Chet Holmgren who will make his NBA debut this fall.

The Oklahoma City Thunder send Nick Collison to represent them at the 2023 NBA Draft Lottery.

The NBA Draft Lottery will determine the fate of the top four Draft Picks in the 2023 NBA Draft, with the rest of the order going in according to regular season records. Sam Presti will be in the drawing room, which is not televised. Nick Collison will be the on-stage representative for the Thunder as deputy commissioner Mark Tatum pulls the envelopes seen on TV that show the NBA landscape who is picking where and who earns the right to Victor Wembanyama.

The 2023 NBA Draft Lottery will air on ESPN at 7 p.m. Central Time. As Mark Tatum begins pulling logos out of envelopes, if that OKC Thunder shield is not revealed by pick 12, that means the Thunder have leaped into the top four of the 2023 NBA Draft. There will be a commercial break between the drawing of pick five and pick four.
