Kelly Olynyk

This summer, the Thunder went about and added much-needed size to their frontcourt with the signing of Isaiah Hartenstein on day two of free agency.

However, although his arrival comes right after posting a career-best season with the Knickerbockers, there are still some concerns regarding his fit from a positional and, frankly, play-style standpoint alongside star center Chet Holmgren.

Kelly Olynyk, on the other hand, would be a seamless add for Oklahoma City if ever acquired.

A lethal offensive contributor, Olynyk is one of the best shooting bigs the league currently has to offer.

With his ability to play both the four and five, facilitate the ball, and stretch the floor beyond the arc, the 6-foot-11, 240-pounder is a proven frontcourt commodity who, thanks to his smooth shooting form and underrated defensive abilities, has frequently found himself coming across meaningful minutes on the hardwood throughout his 11-year professional career.

Over the last four years, the 33-year-old has found himself frequently changing area codes, as he's suited up for a whopping five teams during this period.

Impressively enough, however, this turnover rate hasn't seemed to negatively impact his on-court productivity, as he's averaged a solid 11.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.0 steals, and half a block on 50.0 percent shooting from the floor and 36.3 percent shooting from deep throughout this span.

Olynyk is a player the Thunder were actually rumored to have had an interest in pursuing at the 2024 trade deadline and, should the Raptors (his current employers) find themselves embarking on yet another lottery-bound campaign in 2024-25, Sam Presti may want to inquire about his services yet again.
