Shai Gilgeous-Alexander just hilariously proved he's also MVP off the court

And the MVP troll award goes to SGA.

The Oklahoma City Thunder cruised to a sweep over the Suns, as expected. Now that the team has some extra time on their hands as they wait for the second round, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander posted his first photo dump on Instagram in over a month. The fourth and fifth photos, as well as the sixth, which was a video, featured his fellow Canadian, Dillon Brooks.

The fifth photo was slightly altered, with the back of Brooks' jersey reading "Cancun On 3."

Remember, after OKC beat Phoenix in Game 3, 121-109, a reporter asked Brooks about Gilgeous-Alexander's 42-point outing on 15-of-18 shooting, to which he said, "He's efficient, and I got him Game 4."

Spoiler alert: Brooks did not have him in Game 4. SGA had 31 points on 10-of-17 shooting, a regular night for him, in the Thunder's 131-122 series-clinching win.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander trolls Dillon Brooks after Thunder sweep

Let's give Brooks a little bit of credit here. The villain role has suited him well in Phoenix, as he used it to his advantage to help lead the Suns to the playoffs, a place no one thought they'd be at the beginning of the year. As good a season as they had (for their standards), they were still no match for SGA and the Thunder, though.

Brooks did his best to try to give Phoenix a fighting chance, averaging 26 points on 45.9% shooting from the field and 43.8% from three. It's impossible to contain Gilgeous-Alexander, which is something he knows. He would never admit that he can't guard SGA, but he can't.

That's how the pictures SGA used in his dump came to be, with the star point guard referencing a moment in Game 2 when he hit a shot over Brooks, and had some fun afterward running back down the court.

After that game, Brooks referred to Gilgeous-Alexander as "a little frail," criticizing him for "flopping" and "flailing," as if SGA and Thunder fans haven't heard that one before!

Hey, it's all in good fun. Brooks probably got a good laugh out of it as he's enjoying his first day in Cancun. If he hangs around there for another month and a half, he might get to spend some time with Gilgeous-Alexander, who will have another MVP award and will hopefully be fresh off another title.

Surely, Brooks will be down to celebrate that!
