We’ve got good news and bad news. The bad news – it’s Monday. The good news – this is your OKC Thunder daily in the news column, where we serve up topical stories about your favorite team.

Today’s offerings include a story about OKC’s newest star, an in-depth look at Raymond Felton, and a daydream about Christmas.

Paul George denied Drew League game:

One of the newest Oklahoma City Thunder players was recently told “rules is rules,” by the Los Angeles Pro-Am Drew League. Star forward Paul George tried to participate in a playoffs game without first having played a regular season game for the league, but was denied the opportunity.

Larry Brown writes:

"“Jones says George, who is from the Los Angeles area, tried to play for MHP in their playoff game against LAUNFD. MHP features NBA players like Nick Young, Julius Randle and JaVale McGee. Thinking ahead:

Christmas is 140 days away.

Which means, it’s never too early to fantasize about the holidays. Considering the Oklahoma City Thunder has given us all the gift that keeps on giving (that special Christmas Day game) for the past seven years in a row, it’s safe to assume this may be the eighth.

To help us get in the spirit, Thunderous Intentions writer Austin Sternlicht recently provided his picks for the “Top Five OKC Thunder 2017 Christmas Day Matchups”:

"“Primetime matchups on Christmas day have become an NBA tradition, equivalent to the NFL on Thanksgiving, or college football on New Year’s day. With Russell Westbrook still in an OKC Thunder uniform, and the addition of Paul George, it is safe to assume the Thunder will be back again on this special day. But, who should the Thunder be matched up against this year?”"
