5. Cameron Payne

Putting Payne on this list is a stretch, but I’m expecting big things from Cam in the future.

More from Thunderous Intentions

Payne is only in his second year in the league, but he has been praised by everyone in the Oklahoma City organization. Payne had an up-and-down first season, finding himself playing 20 minutes one night than riding the bench the next. He even got minutes in the San Antonio series, but even Payne admitted he wasn’t ready for the intensity.

This year is going to be crucial for Payne. With Randy Foye gone, Cam is the new backup point guard for OKC. He played fantastic in Summer League-which included a game-winning three-so he will have more confidence going into next season.

Plus, who doesn’t love Cam and Russ doing their thang before games.
