1. The Los Angeles Lakers aren’t very good.

Most NBA Players care about winning, some care about money over winning. We don’t know if that fits Paul George or not. We do know that Indiana failed to build a contender for George. The Lakers are not a contender right now. They do have a budding star in Lonzo Ball; however, the Lakers simply do not have the pieces to build around George. Even if George and Westbrook go to LA together, it still wouldn’t be enough to knock off the Warriors.

The Lakers would have to give up some of their young talents to sign both players. Julius Randle has already been rumored to be on the trading block for the Lakers.

Brandon Ingram is a good player; however, he’s still two years away from a breakout season. They just aren’t in a position to go from zero to hero with George.

Sure they have Magic Johnson calling the shots. However, that doesn’t mean he can build a contender. He might be able to, but until further notice, the Clippers are still the better team in LA.

Ultimately, Oklahoma City has the chance of a lifetime right now with Paul George. Therefore, the upcoming season could begin an exciting new era for the Oklahoma City Thunder.
