LAS VEGAS, NV – JULY 13: The Oklahoma City Thunder celebrate as Deonte Burton #30 nailed a game ending tie-breaker against the Orlando Magic during the 2018 Las Vegas Summer League on July 13, 2018 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Deal followed by game winning shot:

While his play on the court was good, it was not the best play on the court for the Thunder. However, off the court, Deonte Burton had a heckuva summer. Last year, Burton played overseas and dominated, winning an MVP award, and clawing his way onto an NBA summer league roster.

Burton was rewarded with a two-way deal after the first NBA Summer League game. Since game one, Burton showed why he deserved it, because admittedly after the first game I did not get the move.

His summer league on the court was capped off with a game winning floater against the Magic.

Deonte Burton was incredible at the rim, just absolutely punishing the rim upon his arrival.

Deonte Burton can play literally anywhere on the court. He can give you minutes at the two, three, four, or even the five if the team is extremely desperate. The one thing that really stood out with Deonte Burton, is that he was always in the right place at the right time. On offense, he constantly moved without the ball, and gave his teammates open passing lanes.
