Steven Adams is the true third member of the OK3

I said it last season when the Thunder traded for Carmelo Anthony and the phrase OK3 became a thing in NBA lexicon. Steven Adams, in my opinion, was always the third most important player on the Thunder and should’ve been anointed as such.

Hindsight is 20-20 as Melo is gone and looking to find a team who can utilize his skills. Meanwhile, Steven Adams is firmly entrenched with OKC and proving his importance to his squad on a nightly basis.

In Sacramento, the Big Kiwi had a heck of a night bolstered by highlights and record setting. His 15 rebounds in the first half were the most he’d ever pulled down in a half. He didn’t stop there as he went on to snag 23 on the evening. Surprisingly prior to this season Steven Adams had only registered 20 rebounds once in his career (January 21, 2015, versus Washington). He accompanied those rebounds with 20 points which were also a career first 20-20 night.

Other players having a historic night were Buddy Hield who scored a career high 37 points.
