It only takes one spark to start a fire.

In a game that could have easily resulted in a win for either team, Dennis Schröder proved to be the spark the Thunder needed to lift them to victory. “Schröder the shooter” was far and away the difference maker last night.

He delivered an excellent game to rebound from his mediocre performances as of late. With a 24-7-3 stat line, Schröder made 13 of his 24 points in the third quarter to provide a spark that carried the Thunder through the final whistle.

As both teams struggled to find a scoring rhythm, Schröder proved to be the man that brought fierce energy down the stretch. He went 10-18 from the field while going 2-5 from behind the arc and 2-3 from the free throw line.

Schröder knows he is a key player OKC will continue to rely on to stabilize the bench unit and bring versatile scoring options when rotated in with the starters, so it’s uplifting to see him find his groove again when the team needed someone to step up.
