Jazz security should’ve been prepared for this:

As for Utah, this isn’t the first time Westbrook has dealt with overly aggressive or rude fans. During the playoffs last season he knocked a phone out of fans hand and spoke about the incident afterward stating fans in Utah specifically say rude and vulgar things about his family and children and it should not be tolerated. Russ stated they wouldn’t just come up to me on the street and say those things so why can they do it here.

Westbrook dealt with the same group of fans located in the same area at halftime and again after the completion of the game. Knowing what occurred at half time it did seem like security should’ve been on the situation as the video below shows how the fans were leaning over yelling at Westbrook and getting precariously close to the star.

So, how much of this falls on Jazz security and the franchise? I’d say they have to take ownership, especially at the game end knowing there had already been issues.
