Two sides to the story:

Shane Keisel is the main fan in question. He provided a statement which was profoundly different from what Westbrook, Patrick Patterson, and Raymond Felton all said Keisel and his wife was saying to Russ.

In the video, Keisel says he was just having fun with Westbrook and told him “sit down and ice your knees bro” and that his wife never spoke. He praises Westbrook calling him “one of the greats” but says “don’t threaten a woman“.

The picture he is painting is one which makes Westbrook out to be a villain. Everyone saw how he dealt with the child and how he leaned down to speak and tapped the kid’s leg good naturedly. And, I also felt (in my opinion) it was handled well given Westbrook has probably had it with fans touching, confronting or getting in his face at this point.

The interesting part of his statement is when Keisel calls Westbrook “classless” and you’ll see why below.

Now (again warning of language) this same fan who in the video speaks highly of Westbrook posted a negative tweet about Westbrook last April. 28th (2018). Note the word “classless” is used here too.

Based on the language and negative tone in this tweet directed at Westbrook it does seem much more likely Westbrook and the OKC Thunder players are the ones telling the true events of what Keisel said.
