The recruit:

Once the Paul George trade demand happened it changed the course of free agency for the OKC Thunder. Subsequently, with the team now leaning toward a rebuild General Manager went back to Alec Burks and Mike Muscala telling them if they wanted to seek a deal elsewhere with a more competitive club he would understand.

Burks took Presti up on his offer but Mike Muscala elected to stay put having brokered a reported two year deal with the ability to opt out at season end. The deal is said to be worth $4.31 million as per Michael Scotto of paid for subscription The Athletic.

Last season Muscala split his time between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Los Angeles Lakers. His stat splits were more successful in LA in terms of efficiency which presumably meant the offensive system and fewer minutes on court allowed him the greater opportunity to succeed.  Specifically, Muscala witnessed a jump from 34.2 percent to 36.8 percent from the perimeter.
