Roundtable Sessions- OKC Thunder expectations and former players segment
Tamberlyn Richardson:
Development of youth including how they gel and whether Billy Donovan can be successful with a predominantly young squad. The keys to answering that question in the affirmative are he gets buy in offensively to the heavy ball/player system and if the bench takes a step up.
Rylan Stiles:
The answer is going to be the youth movement. Come the trade deadline in all actuality, but for right now I am more excited to see just how good is this team? On paper, Steven Adams Chris Paul and Danilo Gallinari with help from Terrance Ferguson, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and company is a borderline playoff team. If they get off to a hot start against a tough opening season schedule does Sam Presti keep his veterans and push for the playoffs?
Noah Schulte:
Development. This is kind of a teaser for something I’m working on, but nearly everyone on the roster is stepping into uncharted territory next season, and it’s going to be wildly interesting to see how each guy responds.
Aidan E:
The development of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
Chase Beal-Sharp:
I am looking forward to seeing how much Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has developed and what trades the Oklahoma City Thunder decides to pull the trigger on this season.
Matthew Hallet:
I am looking forward to Steven Adams being unleashed as the player he should be. Has the potential to lead the NBA in all rebounding categories.
Kevon Stewart:
Chris Paul to pull out his classic “Sham god” on Jan 1st against the Westbrook and the Houston Rockets. Beyond that, I can’t wait to see how quickly the OKC Thunder are able to learn each other’s tendencies as they become a cohesive unit.
Tyler Barger:
I look forward to seeing how this team grows and develops over the course of the season
