5. team. 118. . 20-12. Previous: 12th. Utah Jazz

Utah Jazz:

Offense: (107.9) 17th
Defense: (106.0) 10th
Net: (plus +1.8) 12th

Games Week 10 (2-1): Won vs Blazers 121-115, Clippers 120-107, lost to Heat: 104-107
Games Week 11: Mon vs Pistons | Thurs at Bulls | Sat vs Magic

The weird part about the Jazz is they’ve played better without Mike Conley in the lineup. Although part of that is indicative of the opponents they’ve played the fact remains they beat both the Blazers and Clippers without the point guard.

Of the 10 recent games Conley has missed the Jazz are 7-3 with losses only to the Lakers, Thunder, and Heat (and as of this posting they’ve won twice more so make it 9-3).

Joe Ingles playing as a starter is night and day to Joe Ingles the bench guy.

So what does Quin Snyder do? Adding Jordan Clarkson was a sneaky good pickup by the Jazz who never fully recognized the talent of Dante Exum with his unfortunate series of injuries.

But to make the trade for Conley feasible he has to start producing with the starters (when he returns). Or —- do the Jazz bail on the Conley experiment and trade him to add one or two different talents and depth?

Decisions have to be made, but with Ingles feasting as well as both Bojan Bogdanovic and Clarkson immediately fitting it the argument about Conley not knowing the system isn’t holding as much water as it did initially.
