Season goal for George Hill No. 1) Keep shooting the 3-ball

Hill has been a solid 3-point shooter since he entered the league. He has shot the ball at over 35 percent for every season he has played except for two. The first was his rookie season where he shot the 3-ball at 32.9 percent.

The other was the second half of the 2018-19 season with the Bucks where he shot the ball at 28.0 percent. As stated earlier the 2019-20 season was a little better. In fact, Hill has shot the ball at over 40 percent from deep four times in his 12-year career.

However, it is the part season he played for the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2018-19 which is informative to the current OKC Thunder situation. With LeBron James leaving for the Los Angeles Lakers, there was a young back-court and a massive level of production which needed to be found.

Hill played 13 games prior to being traded but he shot the ball at 46.4 percent from deep during that time. He played 24 games the season before for the franchise but shot the ball at 35.1 percent. The veteran showed in the second season that he took the right shot at the right time.

Hill has only had a really brief time to acquaint himself with a very young OKC Thunder team. However, as a veteran who has played for a number of different teams, he will step up as a leader. Hopefully, he can step up as a 3-point shooter as well.
