Season goal for George Hill No. 2) Mentor the younger guards

As the professional that he is, Hill has already shown himself as a leader in the OKC Thunder training camp. He is a great guy to set your culture and he has the ability to take younger players under his wing and give them advice on basketball, the NBA, and probably life.

The Thunder had this last season with the dynamic between Chris Paul and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Paul not only mentored Gilgeous-Alexander on basketball he also mentored him about business and setting yourself up for after your career is over.

Hill has the ability to help out in this as well. He has Gilgeous-Alexander, Luguentz Dort, Frank Jackson, Ty Jerome, Kendrich Williams, Theo Maledon, and Hamidou Diallo who could all benefit from his wisdom.

As a veteran, he is guaranteed court time next season. He is going to play will all of these players and will be able to help them out during in-game situations, imparting his wisdom to help them grow and learn.

While there are going to be growing pains next season with the Thunder having such a young roster, growth and development are going to be key. If a player can learn from his mistake then this can be seen as a positive. This should happen under the mentorship of Hill.
