OKC Thunder draft prospect No. 2) Keon Johnson

A bouncy athlete with high-end potential, the one-and-done Keon Johnson is seemingly made to play the modern-day wing in the NBA.

Like Bouknight, Johnson’s lengthy frame allows him to be quite versatile on the defensive side of the ball, while his unbelievable athleticism allows him to easily stick with his assignment.

With his quick first step and explosive acceleration, the 19-year-old has proven to be a competent attacker of the rim — where the majority of his attempts came on the year –, and with his high motor and impressive hops, has managed to finish with relative ease even when heading into clogged lanes.

Despite his lacking jumper — especially from long range, where he converted on just 27 percent of his attempts –, Johnson is the type of player who doesn’t shy away from getting creative when it comes to looking to put the ball in the basket.

An already impressive driver when attacking the rim, if the incoming rookie wishes to reach his full offensive potential, he’ll need to improve upon his shooting consistency.

However, even without it, Keon Johnson comes into the upcoming draft as one of the most athletic and top defensive wings in the entire rookie class.
