OKC Thunder improvement for Isaiah Roby No. 1) Improve his 3-point percentage.

It can be difficult to study the numbers of a player who is playing for a rebuilding team. Roby was being assessed early on to see his potential ceiling and where he needed to improve his game. He is a terrific finisher at the rim, starting a lot of his drives from outside the 3-point line.

This then means that the defender is going to give Roby space at the 3-point line as he wants to cut off this avenue to the hoop for the easy bucket. The problem for the defender is that Roby is quite capable from distance, as he showed on a number of occasions.

He started the season out well, going 8-of-25 in the first 20 games. This is good for 32.0 percent from beyond the arc which the Thunder would have been happy with. The problem was that as the season went on the talented players went to the sidelines and Roby was more of a focus of the opposition’s game planning.

This meant that his percentage dipped to 29.4 percent at the end of the season. The good news is that Roby will have learned a lot from last season and will improve this season. He is a potential All-Star talent according to Bleacher Report and he will improve his game in the 2021-22 season.
