OKC Thunder improvement for Isaiah Roby No. 2) Improve his free throw’s

Roby had a rough start to his season at the line. He made only one of his first seven free-throw attempts which is only good for 14.2 percent. This shows that he certainly improved his shooting from the line, finishing the season going 74.4 percent from the charity stripe.

He did show what he was capable of in the victory over the Portland Trail Blazers at the end of January. Roby went 7-of-7 from the line on his way to 16 points. He also went 6-of-7 from the line in the victory against the Houston Rockets in the middle of March.

The problem is that Roby only averaged 1.9 attempts from the free-throw line per game. This is not enough for a player who attacks the rim the way that he does. He took 67.8 percent of all his shots from within 10 feet of the rim, including 42.4 percent from within three feet.

Where Roby can grow his game is by finding contact when he goes up for a shot so close to the basket and drawing the foul. Not only will he get more opportunities to get three points the old-fashioned way, but he will also help the Thunder get their opponent into the penalty and the opposition big men into foul trouble.
