OKC Thunder areas of improvement for Kenrich Williams No. 2) Take more 3-point shots

During his time with the Pelicans, Williams averaged 3.0 attempts from beyond the arc per game, making then 30.4 percent of them. These are not good numbers but the Pelicans did not have many 3-point shooters on their squad so Williams put up a lot of contested shots.

During his first season with the Thunder, he only put up 1.8 attempts from distance but he made 44.4 percent of them. This is because the Thunder have a large number of players who have the ability to shoot the 3-ball at a much better percentage than the Pelicans.

Williams found himself open on so many more occasions thanks to the space on the floor created by the Thunder offense. Williams has shown that he can make the open 3-ball and if his percentage from this season is any indication, he will be very dangerous from the perimeter.

I am not suggesting that he starts to put up 3-point attempts which are not good looks. He needs to use his natural aggression on the court to drive more to the hoop, putting doubt into the mind of the defender. This will help create more good looks from deep.
